As we begin week 2, we are focusing this week on asking God to help us grow together.

Ephesians 4:15 – Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.

Today we are praying that God might grow us in the area of holiness. That we would have a deep awe and reverence for God’s holiness that might lead to a life that knows the bitterness of sin and the sweetness of grace.

Ephesians 4:16 – “… when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” Today, we are praying that each member of the body of Christ would function as God has intended. We are praying that there would be no inactive members of the body but that each member would discover the joy of how God created them and step into that life on a daily basis.

1 Corinthians 12:4 – “Now there are a variety of gifts, but the same Spirit.” Today we are praying that regardless of the gifting that has been given, that each of us would grow deeper in our attentiveness to the Spirit. We want to walk by the Spirit with every step we take, both as individuals and as a church.

Acts 2:44-45 – “and they had all things in common…” Today we are praying that we would be a church that is marked by generosity. May we be open handed with all that God has provided so that there is not a need among us that is not being cared for by God’s kind provision through the church.

Acts 2:36-47 – “praising God and having favor with all people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” Pray that we might grow in our favor with the people of this city and that we might see the Lord add to our number day by day.

John 15:5 – Pray that as we abide in Christ, that we might bear much fruit. Pray that our church would bear fruit. Pray that a fruitful life would be the overflowing of an abiding church.
